Rose Amberson, President


Rose Amberson, MSW, SPHR, is President of Seitlin’s Human Capital Management Division.  Rose is an experienced executive in the field of Human Resources, with a well-rounded, generalist background. Rose specializes in bringing to the executive table a variety of solid human resource solutions that effectively engage leadership and employees, linking workforce strategies to the business goals of organizations.  She is a strong advocate for healthy workplaces that allow employees and business to thrive.

 

Rose is a dynamic leadership facilitator, dedicated into “turning learning into fun”, with lasting organizational results. She has created and delivered leadership, workplace wellness, human resources, and customer service training programs to all organizational levels, and has significant experience working with diverse, multicultural groups.  In South Florida, Rose has facilitated learning with thousands of people in a broad spectrum of industries, including healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, distribution, construction, transportation, utilities, hospitality, legal services, and security services. 

 

Prior to her role with Seitlin, Rose served as Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development for the Boca Raton Community Hospital, a 400-bed hospital with over 2,000 employees.  There she was charged with comprehensive responsibility for the human resources and organizational development functions, taking these areas to an entirely new, strategic level.  During her tenure, Rose focused upon increasing employee engagement for the betterment of the organization and its employees.  She made extensive changes to human resources, health and welfare programs, ensuring the hospital’s ability to compete in a tight labor market.  She launched a new leadership development function, reorganized the human resources function for stronger customer focus and improved efficiencies, converted to user-friendly online policies and procedures and enhanced web-based tools, and introduced a new department of employee relations with extensive work / life benefits for employees.   

 

Mrs. Amberson’s previous experience includes tenure as Corporate Human Resources Director for Laparkan Trading Limited. Mrs. Amberson designed, built, and directed the comprehensive human resources function for this international group of companies with offices throughout North America and the Caribbean.  

 

Rose holds certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources from the Society for Human Resources Management.  She has also received a certificate of Completion from the Wellness Council of America’s Well Workplace University.  Rose is a highly skilled communicator, with a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Florida International University (graduating with National Honors and a 4.0 GPA). Her Bachelors Degree was received from the University of Vermont.  She worked within the private practice of a psychologist in Burlington, Vermont, for a number of years.  She also worked as a social worker for disadvantaged youth, with families in distress, and with challenged teens within the Broward County Public School system.   

Rose is a dynamic public speaker and has been a Guest lecturer at Florida International University, the Human Resources Association of Broward County, and the Certified Employee Benefits Specialists professional association of Broward County. In 2005 Rose was recognized by her peers with the South Florida Business Journal’s Excellence in Human Resources Award. She is a member of the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE), the American Management Association (AMA), and the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), the Wellness Council of America (Wellcoa), the National Institute of Wellness, the Parent Teacher Association of Broward County, and the American Tae Kwon Do Association.

 

 

Dr. Jack Mitchell, Senior Consultant


Dr. Jack Mitchell is a Senior Consultant, formerly President of Seitlin Human Capital Management from 1998-2007. During those years, Jack grew this Division of Seitlin into one of the largest HR Consulting and Training companies in South Florida. HR management outsourcing, supervisory and management training, customer service training, executive coaching, compensation planning, strategic planning facilitation, employee policy handbooks, and HR audits are some of the offerings provided to Seitlin HR's diverse client base.  As well as building the business and working closely with his professional colleagues, Jack is very involved with CEOs and key executives advising them on their human capital management and organizational design. 

 

Prior to his role as head of Seitlin HR, he was the founder of ESP, Employment Selection and Performance, working primarily with businesses in Palm Beach and Martin counties.

 

He was also a Master Trainer and Adjunct Professor at Florida Atlantic University. In these capacities Jack specialized in the areas of management development and communications skills. His clients included such companies as: Pratt & Whitney, The Breakers Hotel, Comerica Bank and CSR Rinker.

 

Jack also spent many years as a personal consultant and executive coach to many CEO’s and senior executives through an international organization called TEC.

 

Jack’s corporate background includes the position of Senior Vice President of Human Resources for one of the largest public relation firms in the world. This firm, Burson-Marsteller, the largest division of the advertising giant, Young & Rubicam, had 54 offices around the world. Jack was responsible for the worldwide human resources functions. Prior to joining Burson-Marsteller, he was Vice President of Human Resources for the fourth largest advertising agency in the world, DMB&B.

 

Jack holds a doctorate degree in international law, a master’s degree in psychological counseling and a master’s degree in theology. He has also been very involved in south Florida Human Resources societies, as a member of the Board of Directors for the Broward County chapter and the Palm Beach County chapter of Human Resources professionals. He has been a Director of the Private Industry Council and is presently active in the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.

 

 

Christopher Ellison, Human Resources Consultant


Christopher currently holds the position of Human Resources Consultant for Seitlin Human Capital Management. He has over fifteen years of experience in administration, human resources, and customer service (both internal and external), with experience at the management level. Christopher has excellent organizational and communication skills and an exceptionally strong dedication to outstanding customer service. Mr. Ellison has direct experience working with diverse and multicultural professional and administrative groups. His professional communication skills make him highly effective when working with employees and clients from various corporations when resolving issues. 

 

In addition to serving as a consultant to several of our valued clients in a variety of industries, Christopher also provides expertise and support to our consulting team, allowing the group to excel in meeting customer expectations. Additionally, he assists with business development and practice management.  Christopher’s strong experience in the human resources arena is utilized from the beginning stages to the final delivery of products and services for our clients.

 

Mr. Ellison began his career at Seitlin as an Administrator in the Property and Casualty Division, where he quickly proved his ability to take on additional responsibilities. Mr. Ellison was soon promoted, and began working in the area of Human Resources with Seitlin Human Capital Management, where he received extensive human resources training over the years. While working for Seitlin, Chris has also obtained several computer certificates, and with the development of expertise in these areas, Christopher took on training responsibilities for Seitlin personnel on the use of programs and software.

 

Christopher has been an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management on a national level for several years. He is also a member of local chapters, including the Human Resources Association of Broward County (HRABC), and the Greater Miami Society of Human Resources (GMSHRM).

 

 

Rona Levitt, Director of Wellness Services
 

Rona Levitt serves as Director of Corporate Wellness Services for Seitlin Human Capital Management Services.  An experienced nurse with an extensive background in strategic corporate wellness programming, Rona has designed and implemented multiple wellness programs in a variety of industries and settings.  Ms. Levitt’s success is built on her sincere desire to help individuals create effective change.  This is translated through her strong clinical skills and engaging adult-learning methods.  Rona makes learning fun! 

 

Prior to joining Seitlin, Rona served as Director of Corporate Wellness with the Florida Heart Research Institute. Previous professional experience with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida enabled Rona to round out her solid business management skills, and develop her strong understanding of health services in the United States.  At BCBS of Florida, Rona designed, implemented, monitored and evaluated the “Best of the Blues” award winning employee worksite wellness program, demonstrating a cost savings of over $160,000 within a two year period.

 

No stranger to public service and community outreach, Rona is very active in the South Florida community. She currently serves as a Board Member of Informed Families, Advisory Board of Nova Southeastern University’s Masers of Public Health Program, and a number of other Community Outreach Boards in the past.  She is a current member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce in the specialized area of bio-sciences.

 

Rona’s previous experience also includes a successful track record as a staff and community educator; an independent professional image consultant; and director of public and media relations for the South Florida Hospital District.

 

 

Len Alpert, Senior HR Consultant
 

A Senior Human Resources Consultant with the Seitlin Human Capital Management team, Len Alpert has over twenty years of Human Resource Management experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree form Sacred Heart University, with emphasis in Business Management and Psychology.

 

Len is a Human Resources Generalist with experience in all aspects of human resources, including Employee Relations, Recruitment and Staffing, Training, Compensation and Benefits. He has experience with coaching both Staff and Management in areas job performance, discipline and termination. He has also conducted training workshops for sexual harassment prevention, professional interviewing techniques and diversity. 

 

A long-standing affiliate of Seitlin, Len is the former Director of Human Resources for Seitlin Insurance and Advisory Services, with previous experience in Banking/Finance and Publishing. Mr. Alpert currently provides the full human resource component for four of our valued clients in a wide variety of industries, helping these organizations create outstanding work environments where their employees and their businesses thrive.

 

Len is a current member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), and the Human Resource Association of Broward County (HRABC).

 

 

Maggie Guzman-Stocking, Human Resources Consultant
 

Maggie Guzman-Stocking is a bi-lingual Human Resources Consultant with Seitlin Human Capital Management. She is an HR Generalist and her background includes work in recruiting, benefits, compensation, training, HR compliance, and employee relations. Because of previous work in the manufacturing environment, Maggie also brings to her consulting assignments considerable knowledge of OSHA laws and requirements.

 

Maggie's present assignments include working for large and mid-sized companies in the manufacturing, transportation, import/export, security, apparel, education and construction industries.

 

Prior to joining the Seitlin HCM's team of professionals, Maggie worked with companies, such as Hart, Schaffner and Marx and AutoNation, USA. 

 

Maggie Guzman-Stocking holds a Bachelors' degree in Psychology from St. Thomas University, and is involved in the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).
